Artist's Comments

I'm listening to So Close by Jon Mclaughlin right now. Was tempted to call this "So Close" instead of what I did, but then I ended up... well, not.

Anyways, isn't she kinda sweet looking? I think she looks sweet. Simple background. Hair was done with help from mree's tutorial, which was incredibly helpful. Still is more my style that hers though, which I'm happy about.

Not sure about what to put in for the keywords... D:

EDIT: I was so close to revamping the title for this. I had originally written some few sentences to accompany this, but I feel like now the time to change it is past. It's like my inner perfectionist is sneaking up and my inner slacker smacks it away with a snarl. "Leave the poor deviation alone! >O" My inner perfectionist will probably pout and then go break down and have some ice cream.

Done in Photoshop CS2, ~4 hours.

Questions, Comments, Concerns, and Critiques welcome.

fresh autumn air, and it's spring over here! Looks lovely though. She does look sweet, and she has lovely hair!
:iconalovelyie:
Thank you so much! I'm glad you likes it. I know that it's spring here, but I was in the mood for something fall-esque. It just seemed like it.

i also love the hair, as weel as the way the hair is blowing. i like how the collar blows with it too... and she seems to be facing the wind, the look of enjoyment on her face is priceless...

Thank you! I'm really glad that everyone likes the hair so much, I worked hard and I'm glad to see it was worth it. Hmm... her face... I would agree that she looks rather pleased. However, I'm a bit ashamed by the fact that I forgot to give her eyebrows! How frightful D:

Lol. I did not know that. But I do know that women in the Renaissance shaved off some of their hair to make it look like they had bigger foreheads, for some odd reason.

Now when I see the Mona Lisa again, I'm going to double-check on the eyebrows.

lol, you taught me something too! i didin't know that people thought big foreheads were flattering and would shave their hair likethat... gives new meaning to the receding hair line, eh? but yeah, check the mona lisa again!
