Another year come and gone. 2008 ended up being, strangely, a lot better than I thought it would ^-^ so that was a pleasant surprise. But I never thought that I would fail to update so much. Looking back on my work, I'm a little disappointed with myself. I know that my digital painting skills have a long way to go, but the real problem is--I never have time to practice! o.0 I'm really starting to wonder how the artists I watch are able to update so frequently! I mean, I have plenty of time to doodle and draw, well, depends on my schedule, but... for me at least, CG-ing takes a long time. And I'm also starting to think that it's better not to do it all in one sitting, or I stop thinking straight. (After six hours of staring at the same screen, who doesn't, right?)

Anyhow. I'm going to try and do better this year, I promise. Really. I mean it. ^-^" I will definitely try. o.o does this sound familiar? Yup. But I really mean it this time!!! D:

I bid a fond farewell to 2008, and am looking forward to a bright new year! Don't let me down, 2009.

I have (finally) made a devart. Oh, happiness. Honestly, I've been meaning to make one for over a year now, but I didn't realise that you could have a deviantart for free. Imagine my excitement at discovering the opposite. I had promised to make myself one on January 1, because I thought it would have looked cool, but it didn't end up happening. I wish I had thought to pick a more important and/or meaningful date, but I didn't. Oh well, the point is that I have made my dream (or rather, one of them) come true. I feel so joyous. Perhaps I should switch my mood?

Well, I must say that I am rather pleased with myself, all in all. Although, I don't have any artwork worth posting, at the moment. That's going to change though: hopefully very, very soon. Not right now, because I have other things to do *for shame* but soon! I swear! Once I work out the kinks, I'll be an active and influential member of the dA community. (+.+) Or something like that.

Until then, I am sad to say that I will not be updating my dA journal. However, when I complete some certain projects, I will be sure to post all of the artwork here. I think I'll be looking at a tentative, overly optimistic deadline of Feb. 1, and if not then, possibly April 1.
